Should it be quitting time? Here are some signs you might want to quit now...
a) There is a lack of
communication
A lack of communication can be frustrating and it can make your job difficult.
Are your co-workers not returning your voice mail? Does senior management not
let the rank and file know about major changes until the last minute?
b) You
don't feel valued
Does your boss and co=worker not appreciate you? Do you feel like 'just a
number' within your organization? Recognition
is important - you deserve credit for your
successes. A good company has programs to let employees know that they are
valued. So is your company doing something to reward your efforts? Do you get
bonuses, perks or positive feedback? Or should you leave and find another
company that will value your talents.
c)
You're feeling stifled
How is your quality of life? Is your work a grind? How many hours you need to
work, the working conditions, and relations with your supervisors and
subordinates is important. If you dread being at work then it's time to move on.
Remember to think about what you don't like about your current job so you know
what to look for in your next job. Decide on your priorities and
preferences. Actively seek them in your next move so that work can finally be an
enjoyable experience
